The Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation Memorial Fund was initiated in 1991 by then President John H. Harakal, DO. The fund accepts donations. Many donations are given in gratitude or in memoriam for an osteopathic physician.

The fund's revenue provides John H. Harakal DO, FAAO Scholarships. These are three-quarter tuition paid Scholarships for the SCTF Basic Course in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field for Osteopathic residents. Priority is given to residents in NMM/OMM.

The Harold I. Magoun Sr., DO, FAAO Endowment & Scholarship was created in 1996 by a bequest from Harold I. Magoun, Sr. DO, FAAO. This provides an Endowment, which is three-quarter paid tuition for College of Osteopathic Medicine Faculty to the SCTF Basic Course in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field. This also provides Scholarships, which are three quarter tuitions paid for OMM Teaching Fellows to the SCTF Basic Course.

The SCTF also provides a variable number of half price tuitions for the SCTF Basic Courses in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.
